"has the ability, if only she'd apply herself". He, he. When I married Adele and saw her old school reports, I saw such comments: up to then I thought it was just me. Still - I bet you were like her: you got A's with such comments - I got C's

It can be a bit of a learning curve to learn a drawing program ... a lot of luddites like corel painter because it takes an approach that mimics traditional materials. If you didn't get a copy, then ArtWeaver is a free program that has a similar philosophy. Personally though, I'd choose GIMP or Photoshop. IMO there isn't really anything to learning the tablet - it's like playing an electric guitar. Before you pick one up, you think it's going to be really weird to pluck a string and have the sound come from somewhere completely different, but when you actually try it, it's surprisingly natural.

ooh shhhhh!! I only plugged it in a few weeks ago, tried a pic that was completely the wrong thing and have been using it to play spider solitaire since. I'm kind of at a bit of a loss as to where to start to be honest...any ideas? You're absolutely right though, I should pull my finger out, I entered that contest with winning it as my goal and it's bad of me to not put it to use.
